The NRRC was founded in 1989 and is the representative body for the Rhodesian Ridgeback breed to the Australian National Kennel Club (ANKC) for the Rhodesian Ridgeback Clubs of New South Wales (RRCI), Queensland (RRCQ Inc), South Australia (RRCSA), Victoria (RRCV Inc) and Western Australia (RRCWA) - all of which are affiliated with their own State bodies.

This site was originally created to act as an 'honour board' detailing the Australian Rhodesian Ridgeback National Shows that have been held in Australia since the Inaugural Show hosted by New South Wales in 1992.

The site has been extended to provide information about the Rhodesian Ridgeback breed in Australia as well as health and other information specific to the breed.
 
The site currently honours breed achievers through the inclusion of Register of Merit (ROM) awards and listings of RRs achieving distinction / titles in all areas of canine endeavour.
